Patented pointing system with SAMCO 88 |

The quality of a sett paving is not always apparent at first glance – however, in the long run it is perceivable and noticeable. |
Our traffic routes are gradually being exposed to increasingly higher requirements. It involves especially the growing negative effects of traffic, together with effects of the tensions which are dependent on the temperature; a more intensive use of road salt products, and of chemical and mechanical cleaning processes - they all leave behind conspicuous traces even on those pavement works, which have been carried out in a top-quality manner. |

In order to satisfy the ever-increasing demands, we have developed a new apparatus which shows its strengths exactly where it comes to extreme operational demands. Where the traditional laying techniques start facing the first obstacles, that is where the application area of the gap-grout SAMCO 88 begins. In connection with a newly-developed, uncomplicated laying system – new standards in reference to the carrying capacity and durability will be set. |

The gap-grout SAMCO 88 is a pure, top-quality natural product. The sources in Switzerland provide quarry sand of 0.2 up to 4 mm grain size in high and invariable quality. The correct grading without any chemical additives, and the specific weight secures an optimal consistency while inserting the gap grout and in this way ensures:
· high adhesive strength to stone surfaces · resistance to pressure · high frost- and road salt resistance |

SAMCO 88 The gap grout is mixed with clean water up to the accustomed consistency and it is insinuated into the natural-stone pavement by means of a besom or a rubber swab. When laying the stones into footloose roadbed materials (sand, crushed stones) there occurs compaction of the paving stones with a standard vibratory plate simultaneously with precompression of the mortar gap. A further application of SAMCO 88 fills in the gaps to the entirety again. |

gap cutter By means of the specially developed vibrating gap cutter it is possible to compress the mortar to the gaps, without the stones being slack-bounced by the roadbed material. · this apparatus guarantees a 100 per cent gap-fill with an optimal compaction · the vibrating gap cutter should not only remove excessive fluid but also reduce the amount of air pockets to the desired modicum. After the compaction it is worthwhile to distribute the gap material once again equally onto the pavement configuration in order to fill out the last cavities. |

Already during the first cleaning process is the spare gap material completely ground off. |
Sponge fettling machine Thanks to the machining apparatus it is possible to begin the cleaning process with SPONGE FETTLING MACHINES straight after the compaction. This gentle way of cleaning has got 2 advantages: · the gap grout is converted within 2 hours, so that no agitations arise in the setting phase. · no additional water is mixed to the gap grout through the wet sponge. Via this cleaning the gaps are fully and wholeheartedly cancelled. |

Gap restoration and quick gap |
For traffic surfaces which are about to be encumbered after a relatively short period of time, there is a special mortar admixture SAMCO Quick. Thereby is the required pressure resistance already after 48 hours achieved so that the surface area can be heavily used. Another range of application of SAMCO 88 is the GAP RESTORATION with SAMCO San or with SAMCO San Quick for rash encumbrance. Here the damaged surface area is washed out by means of high-pressure cleaner, so that an adequate gap strength is given to the restoration (at least 1cm). Finally the gap material is grouted with SAMCO San the way described above. By means of the excellent value, which can be achieved with SAMCO 88 the restored gap contributes to an apparent increase of the sett paving quality. |
